Linear actuator

Question: Does PCBMotor supply a linear actuator?

Answer: Despite it looks straight forward to use PCBMotor for a linear movement, I'm afraid it isn't. The principle in the PCBMotor is a travelling wave which means that the wave has to be able to continue forever. However the stator line, the part of the PCBMotor that contain the piezo's does not need to a circular, but can be any shape as long as the "line" continues. This means that sections of the "line" can be a straight line.
